Usability Web Designer

Foreach is currently seeking a Usability Web Designer to reinforce our team based in our headquarters in Merksem.  For the first 6 months, you will be our only Designer and work in close collaboration with a Front End Developer and 10 Java and .NET Developers.  Our HQ team is responsible for our mid-sized web, mobile and tablet projects for several customers.  You will become the main responsible for all design work and you will regularly venture into front end development activities.  Depending on the business needs, you may be asked to become involved in projects that run on location with customers

Your main responsibility will be designing usability focussed webapplications like websites, webservices, forms, content management systems, etc.  You will spend a smaller part of your time on designing items for marketing purposes, for online and offline use.  Additionally your front end development capabilities will be put to use when needed.

MUST HAVE

• A talent for webdesign that champions in usability
• Prior professional experience in webdesign and/or UI development
• At least a fair understanding of front end development logic and some experience in any of the following: xhtml, CSS, javascript, drupal, PHP, etc.
• Solid experience with MS Office suite and Adobe products
• An open personality with good communication skills
• A professional teamplayer attitude

• A passion for web development, also in your private time
• More advanced expertise in front end development, the latest standards and existing browser quirks
• Experience in design of mobile or tablet applications (native or webapps)
• Flexible mindset and ability to work with technical and non-technical people
